Problems with nissan service dept
Hello I have owned my NV for 4 months and started to notice the cvt not acting like my other nissan vehicles I own. WHen accelerating the rpms will hit about 1,800 then drop back around 900 start to go up and stay where they should be, I'm at 58,800 miles so almost out of warranty, they told me to bring it in. I dropped it off on Thursday, they called on Friday and said the transmission needs replaced, but nissan wanted to stick a scope in there before they would approve the replacement.
so I get a call on monday saying its ready for pick up, I asked what they did and they said drove it got no error codes and cant get the trans to duplicate the problem. after talking to 3 people including the tech and manager, the manager told me they changed the way the cvt shifts. THey also claim they don't know why I was told it needed replaced. I told them something is not right here and this is bs. the manager said he would drive it again on Tuesday.
So my question, is this the normal way a nv200 transmission acts? IS it different than a murano or altima? Any suggestions on what I should do about this service department?
Its a 2013.
